Obituary for Otila G. Pena

Otila G. Pena

Her love for her family was unconditional. Otila was a woman of character, integrity, kindness, honesty and very loyal to her loving husband. She became vivacious when she heard country music on the radio, especially songs by George Strait. Otila loved her beautiful garden that she attended to every day, and her cats were always close by her side. Her favorite bird was the red cardinal, and on occasion, when a cardinal visited her garden, she felt it was her husband from heaven coming to see her.
Mrs. Otila G. Pena is survived by four sons, Eugenio (Delta) Pena, III. Of Houston, Jesus (Lolly) Pena of Edinburg, Robert (Minnie) Pena of Delmita, Rick (Naomi) Pena of Pasadena; six daughters, Rosa L. Moreno of Houston, Yolanda (Nasim) Malik of Richmond, Diana (Johnny) Maldonado Wilson, Sylvia (Larry) Cinco, both of Houston, Gracie (Joe) Falcon of Pearland, Cynthia (Mark) Haubert of Tomball; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and a daughter-in-law, Elma R. Pena of Houston.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m., rosary, Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg.
