Pedro S. Castillo
ALAMO – Pedro S. Castillo, 95, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at Grand Terrace Rehabilitation and Health Care in McAllen under Gracia Hospice Care.
He was a lifelong resident of Alamo, Texas until 2007 then moved to Alfredo Gonzales Texas State Veterans Home in McAllen, Texas.
Pedro was very proud to have served his country during WW II in the Army Air Forces, as Private Duty Soldier III in the Western Pacific, and Eastern Mandates Air Offensive in Japan with honorable discharge including several medals. Our dad was a dedicated, supportive and loving husband, father and grandpa. He loved his wife, sons, daughters and grandchildren dearly and worked very hard to provide for his household. He had a strong faith in God and always taught us to believe the same. His life was completely devoted to God and family.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria V. Castillo; a daughter, Infant Rosario Castillo; a grandson, Stephen Gabriel Reyna; his parents, Zeferino and Sara Castillo; half-siblings, Adelino Hernandez, Teresa Hernandez, Juan Hernandez Sr. and Antonia Hernandez.
Mr. Castillo is survived by seven children, Eusebia A. Castillo of Pharr, Carmen C.
