Elodia Abad

ELODIA ABAD SAN JUAN — Elodia Abad, 70, died Thursday, June 18, 2015, at LifeCare Hospital in McAllen. Born in Rio Hondo, she had lived most of her life in San Juan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Concepcion Cruz; two sisters, Minerva and Graciela. Elodia is survived by her husband, Fidel Abad of San Juan; five children, Patricia (Oscar) Lopez of San Juan, Elizabeth (Edgar) Delgadillo of Pharr, Fidel (Elida) Abad of San Juan, Criselda (Roland) Castillo of Edinburg, Jaime (Alba) Abad of Paris, TX; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Olga Portillo and Yolanda (Javier) Acosta, both of Reynosa, MX. A rosary was held Friday, June 19, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. today, June 20, 2015, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
