DANIEL Y. "EL COLORADO" ACOSTA
PHARR - Daniel Y. "El Colorado" Acosta, 61, died Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Born in Kenedy, Texas, Mr. Acosta had lived in Pharr all of his life and was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Pharr.
He is preceded in death by his father, Alvaro Acosta; two brothers, Alvaro Acosta Jr., Jose Artemio Acosta; and a sister, Aurora Acosta.
Mr. Acosta is survived by a brother, Arnaldo Acosta of Pharr; two sisters, Aurora Acosta of Pharr, Alicia Cuellar of McAllen; and his mother, Josefina Ybanez Acosta of Pharr.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, April 5, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
