Adrian Guerra, 69, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, at his residence in Edinburg surrounded by his family.
Born in Rio Grande City, Mr. Guerra had lived in Edinburg since 2000 and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He began his career with U.S. Customs and Border Protection on April 27, 1987 and retired on August 31, 2015, after 28 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan Roberto Guerra and Anastacia Guadalupe Martinez; and brother, Juan Roberto Guerra Jr.
Mr. Guerra is survived by his wife, Sylvia Guerra; two children, Thalia Guerra, Adrian Alberto (Jennifer Puente) Guerra; six grandchildren, Terrance Adrian Guerra, A'va Michelle Guerra, Ember Rae Guerra, Austin Charles Guzman Guerra, Zenobiah Garcia, Andrea Garcia; three siblings, Gilberto (Brenda Trevino) Guerra, Linda (Martin) Rivera, and Rosa (Bryan) Hunt.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Monday, December 16, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
