Elida V. Aguilar

Elida V. Aguilar, 86, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022, at McAllen Medical Center.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ireneo Aguilar; her son, Rolando Aguilar; her parents, Roman and Ramona Vera; four brothers, Daniel Vera, Benito Vera, Carlos Vera, and Rodolfo Vera.
Mrs. Aguilar is survived by her five children, David V. (Beatrice) Aguilar, Mario (Susana) Aguilar, Belinda (Rogelio) Guerra, Irma (Felix) De La Cruz, Irineo (Elizabeth) Aguilar Jr.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Carolina Castilleja, Roman Vera Jr., Antonio Vera, and Julian Vera.
Our mother, our matriarch, our rock has ascended to be with our Lord. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. We will miss her physical presence but her aura, her spirit, her soul will continue in those of us who mourn today but will forever hold her in our hearts. The great warmth of her love for family is the foundation for those of us that will always keep her in our thoughts.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary, Saturday, April 2, 2022, and Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2022, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
