Belinda Aguilar Guerra

Belinda Aguilar Guerra, 62, entered eternal rest Sunday, February 26, 2023, at her residence.
Belinda was a lifelong resident of Edinburg and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Belinda's contribution to Aguilar's Meat Market will always be an essential part of our story and who we are today as a family-owned business. She helped open our doors 38 years ago with our founder, father, and grandfather, Ireneo Aguilar Sr. She was indeed a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, mother-in-law, aunt, sister, sister-in-law, friend, but above all, a great individual with a heart of gold, and the most humble kind soul. She always put God first in everything she did. We'd like to remember Belinda, as a cheerful, genuine, and patient person who expressed appreciation and respect with everyone that crossed her path. She loved holidays, family celebrations, and get-togethers. Most of all, she loved giving heart-felt speeches to her family whether it be celebrations or on not so happy moments. One could always count on Belinda to make you laugh and be cheerful. Her friendly smile and infectious laughter was always contagious. She'd light any room she entered with her positive vibes. We will miss her dearly. This is not a goodbye, this is "We'll see you soon, Belinda."
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ireneo and Elida Aguilar; and a brother, Rolando Aguilar.
Belinda is survived by her husband, Roy Guerra Jr.; two children, Jason (Sylvia) Guerra, Roylinda Guerra; a grandson, Travis Ryu Martinez, all of Edinburg; four siblings, David (Bea) Aguilar of Clifton, Virginia, Mario (Susana) Aguilar of Edinburg, Irma (Felix) De La Cruz of Mission, Eddie (Elizabeth) Aguilar of Edinburg; and a sister in law, Deborah Aguilar of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
