ALBERTO RAMON AGUIRRE
McALLEN - Alberto Ramon Aguirre, 55, entered the gates of heaven to meet our Lord, on Saturday, March 17, 2012.
Albert was a police officer and served several communities including McAllen, Pharr, San Benito and Mission, where he was currently employed. Albert was a very dedicated police officer who loved his job. He especially loved being a “motorcycle cop”. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends. Albert touched the lives of many people and will be truly missed. Even though many are saddened by his departure, we all find comfort in knowing that his now at peace.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Alberto Ruben Aguirre and Maria Lilia Cantu; brothers, Raul Ruben Aguirre, and Oscar Aguirre.
Mr. Aguirre is survived by his beloved wife, Rosalinda Aguirre of McAllen; four beloved daughters Maria Kathleen “Kathy” Aguirre, Alma Delia Aguirre, Emma Angelica Aguirre and Crystal Ann Aguirre James (Bryan); brother, Rodolfo Roel Aguirre; sister, Alma Elsa Lara; numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to all the staff at Mission Regional Medical Center for all their kindness and consideration during Albert’s hospital stay. Special thanks to all the ICU staff for the kind nursing care provided and for their understanding and compassion during his last moments on this earth.
A rosary was held at 7 p.m., Monday, March 19, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., today, March 20, 2012, at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Pallbearers will be Sam Segura, Leroy Garza, Joel Castro, Gilberto Rodriguez, Rodolfo Aguirre and Juan Sandoval. Honorary pallbearers are Joel Chapa, Dr. Roberto Olivarez and Reyes Guerra.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
