SAN JUAN - Margarita R. Aguirre, 79, died Friday, December 17, 2010, at McAllen Medical Center.
Born in Cadereyta, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Mrs. Aguirre had lived in San Juan for 41 years and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Aguirre Lopez; a daughter-in-law, Rosa Elia Aguirre; a grandson, Santos Aguirre Jr.; a brother, Julian Rojas; and a sister, Bertha Rojas.
Mrs. Aguirre is survived by five children, Manuel (Sylvia) Aguirre Jr., Isidoro (Francisca) Aguirre, Adela (Carlos) Torres, all of San Juan, Santos (Catalina) Aguirre, Blanca (Amado) Cantu, both of Edinburg; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Manuel Rojas, of Mission.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, December 19, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2:30 pm Monday, December 20, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
