OFELIA G. AGUIRRE
SAN ANTONIO, TX - Ofelia G. Aguirre, 81, passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at her residence in San Antonio, Texas.
Born in Alamo, Mrs. Aguirre formerly lived in Angleton, Texas for most of her adult life. After retirement from the Angleton Independent School District she and her husband Heriberto (Eddie) Aguirre moved to San Antonio, Texas in 2000 in order to be close to their children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gregorio "Gollo" and Francisca "Kika" Garza also of Alamo, as well as two brothers, Noe Garza of San Juan and Reymundo Garza of Natalia Texas.
Mrs. Aguirre is survived by her husband, Heriberto "Eddie" Aguirre; two children, Gilberto (Cynthia) Aguirre and Imelda (Richard) Lee, both of San Antonio, Texas; five granchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Reynaldo Garza of Natalia, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary, today, August 27, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo where she will be laid to rest with her parents and the Lord.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
