RUBEN AGUIRRE SAN JUAN – Ruben Aguirre, 77, died Sunday, November 30, 2014, at McAllen Medical Center. Born in Edinburg, Mr. Aguirre had lived in San Juan most of his life. He is preceded in death by a son, Virgilio Aguirre; a sister, Olivia Reyna; and a brother, Benny Aguirre. Mr. Aguirre is survived by his wife, Jovita Aguirre of San Juan; five children; Ruben Aguirre, Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Alma Rosa (Ramiro) Benavides of Edinburg, Janie (+Sammy) Campos of Alamo, Ruben Aguirre and Lisa Aguirre (David Levario), both of San Juan; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
