Alejandro ""Alex"" Alamillo

Sebastian- Alejandro "Alex" Alamillo, 58, entered eternal rest Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at McAllen Medical Center.
Born in Laredo, he had lived in Sebastian since 2001 and was formerly of Houston. Alex's pride and joy was his daughter, Kelita. He was a true Renaissance man for his musical tastes, was an avid sports fan, and had an encyclopedic knowledge of sports trivia and statistics from high school to professional sports. He was a fan's fan of the Texans, Rockets, Astros, and Los Rayados. His passion was his family and working on the family home, building, and additions including his wide and varied sports memorabilia collection.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe G. Alamillo and Concepcion Ramirez; and a brother, Rodolfo G. Alamillo.
Alex is survived by his wife, Thelma O. Garcia; a daughter, Angelica Alejandra Alamillo, both of Sebastian; a sister, Yolanda (Gerardo) Ayala of La Feria; a brother, Ruben (Mary) Alamillo of Indiana; nephews and nieces, Joe Ayala, Brenda Ayala, Cindy Ayala, Carlos Ayala, Karla Ayala; his mother in law, Angelica Garcia of Edinburg; brothers and sisters in law, Ramon Garcia, Felipe Garcia Jr., Nora Deleon, Roberto Garcia, Dalila Garcia, Leticia Garcia, and Romeo Garcia.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2021, at Memorial Event Center, 208 East Canton in Edinburg, via drive-by. Graveside service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021, at San Felipe Cemetery in Linn.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
