Elvira Alaniz, 88, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Comfort House in McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Eliberto Alaniz, Sr.; two sons, Eliberto Alaniz, Jr.; Ricardo Alaniz; daughter-in-law, Thelma Alaniz.
Mrs. Alaniz is survived by her son, Javier (Rebecca) Alaniz; two brothers, Carlos Gomez, Jr., Ruben Gomez; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place 10 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2022, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
As per the family's request masks are required.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Comfort House, 617 W. Dallas Ave., McAllen, Texas 78501.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
