ALBERTO QUIROZ RIVAS

MCALLEN – Alberto Quiroz Rivas, 74, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at his residence in McAllen. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Luz Quiroz; parents, Alberto Quiroz and Maria Dolores Rivas; three siblings, Hector Quiroz Rivas, Ruben Quiroz Rivas, and Juan Quiroz Rivas. 

Mr. Quiroz Rivas is survived by his eight children, Alberto (Veronica) Quiroz, Leticia Quiroz (Gerardo) Perez, Mary (Manuel) Ortiz, Gabriella (Armando) Pina, Samuel (Leticia) Quiroz, Juan de Dios (Karla) Quiroz, David Quiroz, Hector (Palmira) Quiroz; three step-children, Martha (Ricardo) Zavala, Francisco Zavala Lazaro, Elvira (Francisco) Delgado; 30 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; five siblings, Olga Mireya Quiroz Rivas, Raquel Quiroz Rivas, Blanca Idalia Quiroz Rivas, Elvia Quiroz Rivas, and Agustin Jaime Quiroz Rivas.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with a prayer service at 12:30 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
