Alejandro "Alex" Garza

EDINBURG – Alejandro “Alex” Garza, 72, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025, at McAllen Medical Center. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Reynaldo and Genoveva Garza; a daughter, Bertha Garza; two siblings, David Garza, and Anita Rodriguez.

Mr. Garza is survived by his wife, Gloria Garza; two children, Belinda (Rafael) Madrigal, Monica (Jose) Sanchez; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three siblings, Reynaldo Garza, Jr., Hilda Garza, and Olga (Johnny) Tellez.

Alejandro “Alex” Garza is a husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was a very humble, loving and noble man, who helped anyone who asked. Alex loved his wife, daughters and family unconditionally and with all his heart. Alex worked tirelessly to make sure his wife, daughters and always had what they needed and went out of his way to help all his family. Alex will be missed everyday by his entire family and all who knew him. 

Visitation will be held at 5 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2025, with a 6 p.m. rosary at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
