ESTEBAN ALFARO
PHARR – Esteban Alfaro, 97, died Monday, March 29, 2010, at Edinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Alfaro was born in Nuevo Leon, Mexico and had lived in Pharr since 1956.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Alfaro; a daughter, Dolores Pena; a son, Esteban Alfaro, Jr.; twin children, Gil and Maria Alfaro; and a grandson, Esteban Alfaro.
Mr. Alfaro is survived by eight children, Miguel Angel (Debbie) Alfaro, of Omaha, Nebraska, Baldemar (Dora) Alfaro, Eduardo (Belia) Alfaro and Antonio (Aida) Alfaro, all of McAllen, Guadalupe Alfaro, of Pharr, Arsenio (Micaela) Alfaro, of Donna, Erasmo (Nancy) Alfaro, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Carlos (Maria) Gutierrez, of Camargo, Tamps., Mexico; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Erasmo Alfaro, of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico; and a sister, Aurorita Castillo, of Matamoros, Tamps., Mexico.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, March 30, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10:30 am Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
The family would like to give special thanks to Edinburg Nursing and Rehab staff for the care given to our father.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
