ALFREDO "CHEPAPUCHAS" VIRUEGAS SALGADO

EDINBURG – Alfredo Viruegas Salgado, 98, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025, at Village Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in McAllen.

He is preceded in death by his two brothers, Enrique Viruegas and Jose Viruegas; two sisters, Concepcion Viruegas and Maruca Viruegas.

Mr. Viruegas is survived by his wife, Magdalena Rodriguez Arronez; 11 children, Carmen Viruegas, Jorge Viruegas, Jose Antonio Viruegas, Monica Viruegas, Arturo Viruegas, Alfredo Viruegas, Javier Viruegas, Magdalena Viruegas, Victor Viruegas, Silva Viruegas, Guadalupe Viruegas; nine  grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
