EDINBURG – Alvaro Alvarado, 55, died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Corpus Christi, TX.
Born in Weslaco, Mr. Alvarado had lived in Edinburg most of his life. Alvaro had a love and passion for playing music and will always be remembered for that.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Julia Alvarado; and a brother, Alfredo Alvarado Jr.
Alvaro is survived by his wife, Hilda Ocanas Alvarado of Edinburg; three sons, Alvaro (Pricila) Jr. of Alamo, Abraham, Abel, both of Edinburg; a daughter, Alyssa (John) of Killeen; and six grandchildren, Danny, Ashlee, Alayna, Johnny, Aubrey, Penelope.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, February 24, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
