JULIA ALVARADO PHARR – Julia Alvarado, 70, died Monday, October 15, 2012, at Life Care Hospital in McAllen. Mrs. Alvarado was a resident in Pharr and for the past two years resided in Alton. She is preceded in death by her husband, Erasmo Alvarado; two great-grandchildren, Audrey Aliah and Kaylee Donaji Alvarado. Mrs. Alvarado is survived by her four daughters, Angie Garcia of Pharr, Mary Perez of La Joya, Leticia (Honorio) Molina of Edinburg, Mariana Garza of Alton; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Irma Lara of Wyoming; and brother, Gilberto Salinas of Houston. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service today, October 18, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow San Juan Cemetery. Funeral service is under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
