Armando Alvarado Sr.

Armando Alvarado Sr., 87, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at his residence in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo and Basilia Alvarado; two brothers, Rene and Samuel Alvarado.
Mr. Alvarado is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lucy A. Alvarado; five children, Armando (Mariella) Alvarado Jr., Zita Minette (Frank) Gaytan, Eduardo Rene (Veronica) Alvarado, Jaime Javier (Tammy) Alvarado, Zelda Michele (Anthony) Morales; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; 11 siblings.
A walk-through visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by a private church service for immediate family only Monday, March 8, 2021, at El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 7473 of Elsa.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church in Edinburg.
As per the family's request all Covid 19 guidelines must be followed.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
