Jose Alvarado Sr.

ALAMO – Jose Alvarado Sr., 87, went home to our Lord Friday, March 5, 2021, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Born in Santa Rosa, TX, Mr. Alvarado had lived in Alamo most of his life, and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Imelda Alvarado; a son, Jose Alvarado Jr.; his parents, Jesus & Maria Alvarado; six siblings, Alfredo Alvarado, Wenseslado Alvarado, San Juana Garcia, Mauricio Alvarado, Jesus Alvarado Jr., and Cruz Alvarado.
Mr. Alvarado is survived by his three children, Faith Alvarado Hernandez, Jaime (Catalina) Alvarado, Gilberto (Doria) Alvarado, all of Alamo; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Monday, March 8, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
