Ignacio Amaya Sr.

EDINBURG – Ignacio “Nacho” Amaya, Sr., 67, died Friday, September 18, 2015, at LifeCare Hospitals of South Texas – North McAllen. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raul and Natalia Amaya. Mr. Amaya is survived by his wife, Irma Amaya; two sons, Ignacio (Rebecca) Amaya, Jr., and Ruben (Maria Elena) Amaya, all of Edinburg; a daughter, Irma (Pedro) Castillo of Monte Alto; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Guillermo Amaya and Felipe Amaya; and two sisters, Susana Perez and Mary Maria Leal, all of Edinburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, September 20, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
