AMPARO PINA
PHARR – Amparo Pina, 95, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Luis Pina; three sons, Joel Pina, Raul Pina, and Juan Manuel Pina; and her parents, Cipriano Pulido and Juana Escobar.
Mrs. Pina is survived by her nine children, Sylvia M. (Manuel) Garcia, Irma (Jaime Lopez) Flores, Maria Guadalupe (+ Enrique Medrano) Pina; Blanca Estela (+ Joaquin Bazaldua) Pina, Leticia (Ricardo Noel) Leal, Graciela P. (Guadalupe Anes) Zecca, Javier (Thelma) Pina, Luis Arturo Pina, Toribio Ricardo Pina; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Guadalupe (+ Isabel) Lopez, Marina, and Pedro Pulido.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2023, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
