ANGELINA "ANGIE" LOERA DE ANDA
McALLEN - Angelina "Angie" Loera De Anda, 72, died Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Born in Alamo, Mrs. De Anda had lived in McAllen most of her life. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Angie was a very devoted wife and a very loving and caring mother and grandmother. Her unselfish and giving ways will be dearly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Juanita Loera; and two sisters, Paula Martinez and Maurilia Perez.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jose G. De Anda of McAllen; two daughters, Corinna D. (John) Vargas of Alamo and Irma D. (Ruben) Ramirez of Mission; two grandchildren, Joanne Vargas Eguia, Ruben Joseph Ramirez; three great-grandchildren, Adriel Jay, Aliya Pauline and Anton Xavier Eguia; two sisters, Margie Romo of Lubbock, Texas, Maria Luisa Hernandez of Alamo; and a brother, Francisco Loera of Lubbock, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, December 18, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 9 a.m., Saturday, December 19, 2009 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Jose Luis Loera, Earl Loera, Gilbert Loera, John Vargas, Ruben Ramirez and Fidencio Hernandez, Jr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
