FRANCISCO DE ANDA SAN JUAN – Our beloved father, grandfather and cowboy, Francisco De Anda, 99, took his final ride into the sunset on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at San Juan Nursing Home. He was born on July 7, 1916 in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Filiberto De Anda and Maria Guadalupe Chavez De Anda. Mr. De Anda was a resident of Alamo since 1955 and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church. He loved riding, roping, dancing, playing poker and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Maria Luisa Rodriguez De Anda; two sons, Filiberto "Beto" and Juan Manuel De Anda; a granddaughter, Barbara Sue De Anda Robertson; a daughter-in-law, Mercy Flores De Anda; one brother and five sisters. Mr. De Anda is survived by seven children, Terry De Anda (Jesse) Garcia of Turlock, CA, Blanca Alicia De Anda of Alamo, Silvano De Anda of Stratford, TX, Conrad R. De Anda of Dumas, TX, Guadalupe (Claudette) De Anda of Alamo, Frances (Omar T.) Garza of Alamo, and Mary De Anda Solis of Pharr; two daughters-in-law, Connie Perez De Anda of Stratford, TX and Dora De Anda of Glendale, AZ; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary, Friday, September 11, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff, nurses, and doctors at San Juan Nursing Home for the love, compassion, and care that was given over the years to our loved one. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
