ANITA MONTERO

EDINBURG – Anita Montero, 82, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Rangel and Maria Uresti; two siblings, Martha (Serafin) Garcia and Santiago (Rosa) Baldazo. 

Mrs. Montero is survived by her husband, Raul Montero; nine children, Rogelio (Esther) Montero, Ricardo (Maria) Montero, Raul (Olga) Montero, Elva Montero, Rene (Cecilia) Montero, Rigoberto (Rosalinda) Montero, Ruben (Annette) Montero, Ester (Joshua) Avila, Hopie Montero; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Luis (Vicky) Baldazo and Gloria (Leo) Sanchez. 

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m., rosary Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
