SAN JUAN - Refugio Aranda, 65, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at McAllen Medical Center.
Born in Ojuelo, Jalisco, Mexico, Mr. Aranda had lived in San Juan most of his life. He worked for PSJA Transportation department for 26 years.
Mr. Aranda is survived by his wife, Petra Aranda; a son, Arturo (San Juana) Aranda, both of San Juan; two grandchildren, Analee and Fernando Arturo Aranda; a sister, Maria Magdalena Aranda Vasquez of Reynosa, Tamps., Mexico; three stepsons, Roberto (Teresa) Flores of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Jose (Gloria) Ramirez, Ricardo Ramirez, both of Edinburg; two step-daughters, Silvia Ramirez and Marisol Ramirez, both of Houston, Texas; 17 step-grandchildren; numerous step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, March 5, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
