REYES "REY" ARANDA, JR.

SAN JUAN - Reyes "Rey" Aranda, Jr., 55, died Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Comfort House in McAllen.

Born in San Juan, Mr. Aranda had lived there all of his life.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Rodolfo "Fito" Aranda, Oscar Aranda; and his father, Reyes Aranda.

Mr. Aranda is survived by four children, Vanessa (Juan) Reyes, Lizette (Enrique) Meza, Reyes Aranda III and Alexandra (Ismael) Cerda, all of Chicago, Illinois; his mother, Nicolasa Aranda of San Juan; five sisters, Maria Camarillo of La Feria, Alicia Alvarez of Greenleaf, Idaho, Hortencia Aranda of San Juan, Carolina Valdez of Caldwell, Idaho, Elizabeth Garcia of San Antonio, Texas; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm with a 7 pm rosary, today, August 19, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am, Friday, August 20, 2010 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
