ARMANDINA GARZA

EDINBURG - Armandina Garza was born April 13, 1954, in Round Rock, TX. Raised in Memphis, TX, she later moved to Edinburg where she and her husband primarily resided and raised their family. She was called home by our Lord on Friday, February 28th, 2025, at the age of 70 at DHR Health Hospice in Edinburg surrounded by her family and friends.

Armandina was a woman of faith and endless love for her children and grandchildren. She had a beautiful smile for everyone she encountered. Armandina, also known as Mindy, was a woman of great resilience. She was a silent hero who found the strength to endure and persevere through challenges in spite of her adversities. Her legacy will live on through those she loved.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David Garza Sr.; and parents, Victor and Francisca Garcia.

Mrs. Garza is survived by her four children, David (Veronica) Garza Jr., Dianna (Paul) Gonzales, Dalia (Daniel) Trevino, Dora (Isidro) Jara; 13 grandchildren; six siblings, Victor Garcia Jr., Francisca Garcia, Pauline Reyes, Florence King, Rosemary Busby, and Gregorio Garcia.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funerial Home of Edinburg.
