Alma Gloria Arrambide

ALMA GLORIA ARRAMBIDE ALAMO - Alma Gloria Arrambide, 76, died Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Comfort House in McAllen. Alma Gloria was born April 11, 1936 in Rio Grande City to Arcadio and Rafaela Gonzalez. She was a 1955 graduate of PSJA High School. Mrs. Arrambide was an active member of First Baptist Church in Alamo. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Elsa Garcia; and a grandchild, Mark McCollum. Mrs. Arrambide is survived by her husband of 57 years, Esteban Arrambide; five children, Jose (Felis) Arrambide of San Juan, Eduardo (Nelda) Arrambide of Mission, Edna (J.D.) McCollum of Houston, TX, and Evette (Johnny) Quiroz of Mission; seven grandchildren, and one great grandson; siblings, Leonel Gonzalez, Dora Jaramillo, Genoveva Betancourt and Sylvia Ozuna, all of San Antonio, TX. Visitation will be held from 5 - 9 pm, today, January 8, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 E. Expressway 83 San Juan, TX, with Pastor C.T. Cunnigham of First Baptist Church in Alamo officiating. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Comfort House, 617 Dallas Ave., McAllen, TX 78501. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
