LUCIANA G. ARREDONDO
ALAMO - Luciana G. Arredondo, 76, died Monday, May 2, 2011, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Born in Los Ramones, N.L., Mexico, Mrs. Arredondo had lived in Alamo since 1973.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Arredondo Pena; and a son, Armando Arredondo.
Mrs. Arredondo is survived by nine children, Maria Esther (Jesus) Rios, of San Juan, Maria Guadalupe (Salvador) Vela, of Conroe, Texas, Jose Luis (Maria Isabel) Arredondo, Margarita Arredondo, Fernando (Esther) Arredondo, Martha Adalia (Arnoldo) Martinez, Janie (Efrain) Rodriguez, Gloria (Jesse) Mireles, Armando (Raquel) Arredondo, all of Alamo; 29 grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Juanita Garcia de Casas, of Reynosa, and Paula Rodriguez, of Pharr.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary today, May 4, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
