EDINBURG - Emma Avila, 68, went home to our Lord Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Born in Weslaco, Mrs. Avila lived in Edinburg most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Maria and Evangelina Saldana; and a brother, Arturo Saldana.
Mrs. Avila is survived by her loving husband, Tranquilino Avila; three children, Isis Rodriguez of Minneapolis, MN, Tranquilino Jose Avila of San Antonio, and Irene (Rafael) Dominguez of San Diego CA; five grandchildren, Eric, Jamilette, and Fabian Rodriguez, Emma Juliet and Emiliano Dominguez; and two sisters, Blanca Fuentes and Elva Estevis.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with an 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
