FRANK BALLI MCALLEN - Frank Balli, 66, died Monday, December 23, 2013, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Born in Mission, Mr. Balli had lived in McAllen most of his life. Frank was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Vietnam War. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Benita Balli; a brother, Ruben Balli; and a sister, Lydia Torres. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Margarita Balli of McAllen; a son, Aaron (Rachel) Balli of San Antonio; a granddaughter, Piper Balli of San Antonio; five siblings, Rebecca Balli of Mission, Raquel Rosas of Baytown, TX, Ruth Balli of Mission, Ricardo Balli, and Israel Balli, both of Washington. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, December 25, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 8788 of McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
