EDINBURG - Juan Salazar, 62, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016.
Born in Edinburg, Mr. Salazar had lived there most of his life and was a current resident of Grand Prairie, TX. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Salazar enjoyed spending time with his family and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.
He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Anai Aseret Salazar; his father, Aristeo Salazar; and a brother, Ismael Salazar.
Mr. Salazar is survived by his wife of 40 years, Terry Salazar of Grand Prairie, TX; three children, Sylvia Ward (David) of Texarkana, TX, Abel Salazar (Terry Ramirez) of McAllen, Melissa Salazar Avila of Grand Prairie, TX; nine grandchildren; his mother, Eluteria Salazar of Edinburg; and nine siblings, Benito, Baldemar, Joe,
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary, Saturday, March 5 and Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2016, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
