HOMERO P. BARRERA
ALAMO — Homero P. Barrera, 78, died Thursday, September 23, 2010, at his residence in Alamo.
Born in Miguel Aleman, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Mr. Barrera had lived in Alamo since 1977 and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo.
Mr. Barrera is survived by his wife, Maria G. Barrera, of Alamo; two sons, Jaime (Zulema) Barrera and Homero (Josefa) Barrera Jr., both of Rio Grande City, Texas; five daughters, Martha Alicia Barrera, of Houston, Texas, Elma (Juan) Torres, of Alvin, Texas, Leticia (Jesus) Alanis, of Rio Grande City, Mari (Jaime) Borrego, Edna Aurora Barrera, both of Alamo; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, September 24, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral service are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
