BAY CITY, TX - Dominga Bazan, 65, died Friday, December 30, 2011, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in La Casita, Texas, Ms. Bazan had lived in Bay City since 2005 and was formerly of McAllen and Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Domingo and Donna Bazan; and two brothers, Ramon Bazan and Juan Diego Bazan.
Ms. Bazan is survived by a son, Ernesto (Crystal) Cantu, of Bay City, Texas; two granddaughters, Haley Alyssa Cantu, Hannah Lynn Cantu; two sisters, Dora (Ebenezer) Barbosa, of Edinburg, Maria Alma Ordonez, of McAllen; three brothers, Erasmo Bazan, of San Isidro, Domingo (Gilda) Bazan Jr., of Rio Grande City, Jorge (Dolly) Bazan, of Seminole, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be dearly missed by her best friend, Chico.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, January 1, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
