PEDRO “PETE” BELTRAN, JR. EDINBURG – Pedro “Pete" Beltran, Jr., 55, died Saturday, June 13, 2015, at his residence in Edinburg. Born in Holland Michigan, Mr. Beltran had lived in Edinburg most of his life and was a proud United States Marine. He loved to BBQ and spend time with his family watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. Mr. Beltran enjoyed dancing to Tejano music and listening to country music. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Epifania Beltran; and a sister, Gloria Rodriguez. Pete is survived by his wife, Esmeralda Beltran of Edinburg; two sons, Christopher Beltran of Elsa, Pedro Beltran, III of Edinburg; four daughters, Monica Beltran of Elsa, Desiree N. Trejo of Houston, Delila Cazares, Deandra Beltran, both of Edinburg; three grandchildren, Caylee, Christopher, Jr., Dominic; seven sisters, Olga Engle, of Edinburg, Linda Cabrera, Viola Beltran, Quinta Beltran, Leticia Beltran, Marissa Perez, all of Elsa, Minerva Gomez of Monte Alto; and two brothers, Rosendo Beltran and Ramon Bletran. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
