GABRIEL BENAVIDEZ, JR.
PHARR – Gabriel Benavidez Jr., 59, died Sunday,March 22, 2020 at McAllen Medical Center.
Mr. Benavidez was born in San Juan and lived in Pharr most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel Benavidez and Corina Lopez; and a brother, Rudy Benavidez
Mr. Benavidez is survived by his wife, Diana Benavidez of Pharr; seven children, Joelda Gonzalez of Pharr, Raymond Garcia of McAllen, Cristy Garza of Pharr, Gabriel Benavidez III of San Juan, Melissa Magallon of Alamo, Bianca Govea and Tracy Rodriguez, both of Pharr; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Sylvia Gregory of Los Angeles, Corina Garza and Elvira Molina both of Pharr, Sandra Garza of Dallas and a brother Jimmy Benavidez.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m.- 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Today, March 24, 2020, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of San Juan.
