Martinano Profesor Benavidez, 84, went home to our Lord Thursday, August 9, 2018, at his residence in Edinburg.
Born in Cotulla, TX, Mr. Benavidez had lived in Edinburg most of his life.
He is preceded in death by two sons, Anthony and Martin Benavidez; a sister, Sylvia Benavidez; and his former spouse, Margaret Jane Benavidez.
Mr. Benavidez is survived by his 14 children, Martin, Mara, Olga, Nicholas, Raymond, Wanda, Phillip, Margaret, Christy, Katrina, Melissa, Anita, Armando, and Raquel Benavidez; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, George Benavides; a daughter-in-law, Sylvia Reyes; and former spouse, Linda Benavidez.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
