GUADALUPE BENITEZ-GARZA
ALAMO – Guadalupe Bentiez-Garza, 68, died Saturday, January 29, 2011.
Mrs. Garza was born and raised in San Juan and had lived in Alamo for 50 years. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Toribio Benitez; and her parents, Pablo and Jovita Benitez.
Mrs. Garza is survived by her husband, Rene R. Garza, of Alamo; four daughters, Maricela (Noe) Peralez, of Mission, Marivel (Marcos) Martinez, Vanessa Renee (fiance Bernabe Soto III) Garza, both of Alamo, Vilma Irene (Farrell) Garza-Wood, of Austin; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Alicia Rodriguez, of San Juan.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, January 31, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
