PHARR – Juanita D. Bermea, 67, entered into eternal life to be with Jesus on Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Amara Hospice Inpatient Facility in Edinburg.
Born in McAllen, TX on December 20, 1949 to Evaristo and Guadalupe Degollado, Juanita was the oldest daughter of 13 siblings. She lived in Pharr most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose R. Bermea; her father, Evaristo Degollado; and a brother, Matilde Degollado.
Along with her husband, they established Mid Valley Exxon in Weslaco, TX and Bermea’s Volksland in Pharr, TX for over 33 years. Juanita loved our Lord and spent her daily life dedicated to praying her rosary and attending mass. We are so grateful to have had a mom who loved Jesus and shared that love with her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Bermea is survived by four daughters, Christine Bermea, Raquel (Greg) Molina, both of San Juan, Elizabeth (Michael) Delgadillo, Sandra (Albert) Lujan, both of Pharr; 11 grandchildren, Joseph Abraham and Austin Devin Fuentes, Michael Joe Delgadillo, Calista Joy, Portia Avy, and Jet Luke Lopez, Greg and Hailey Sky Molina, Taylor Nicole, Hayden Lauren, and Dominic Ashton Lujan; her mother, Guadalupe Degollado; and 11 brothers and sisters.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Amara Hospice for their loving care and compassion for our mom.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
