EFREN C. BERNAL
PHARR– Efren C. Bernal, 61, died Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Born in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Mr. Bernal lived in Pharr most of his life and was a member of Iglesia Del Valle Santa Pentecostes in San Juan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Maria De Los Angeles Bernal; two brothers, Celestino Bernal and Eleazar Bernal.
Mr. Bernal is survived by his wife, Margarita Bernal of Pharr, ten children, Anthony Adam (Ana Laura) Bernal, Priscilla (Roger Bulnes) Bernal, Marissa Loretta (Rudy) Rodriguez, all of Edinburg, Sandra Bernal, Jackie Bernal, both of Dallas, Texas, Patricia Vanessa (Juan Trevino) Bernal, Joshua Bernal, both of Weslaco, Erik Bernal, of San Juan, Veronica Esmeralda Bernal, Efren Heraclio Bernal, both of Pharr; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Efrain (Maria) Bernal, Eliseo (Dora) Bernal; and a sister, Rosa (Eusebio) Gaytan.
Special thanks to Dr. Jesus Zavaleta, Dr. Jeremy Enslein, Dr. Guillermo Salinas, Dr. Mangoo, Dr. Amaro, staff of Tri City Dialysis in Alamo for the care given to Mr. Bernal, and to Rev. Alfredo and Victoria Gonzalez, and members of Iglesia Del Valle Santa Pentecostes for their prayers and words of comfort.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service today, August 1, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at Iglesia Del Valle Santa Pentecostes in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
