BERTA “BETTY’ RUBIO

SAN JUAN– Berta “Betty” Rubio, 57, passed away Friday, August 9, 2024, at McAllen Medical Center.

She is preceded in death by her father, Abelino Garcia; and a brother, Abelino Garcia, Jr. 

Betty is survived by her husband, David Rubio; two children, Abelino H. “Larry” (Crystal) Rubio, Emily Nicole (Julio Cesar Gonzalez Jr.) Rubio; three grandsons, Brandon Jace and Leroy Rubio, Xavier Alexander Gonzalez; her mother, Antonia Garcia; nine siblings, Apolonio (Melissa) Garcia, Melinda (Adolfo) Huerta, Ida (Samuel) Mares, Diana (Louie) De Luna, Abel Garcia, Evangelina Enriquez, Yolanda Lara, Maria Elena Torres, and Angelita Garcia; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary, Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2024, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
