Agustin V. Betancourt

AGUSTIN V. BETANCOURT, 77yrs EDINBURG – A much-loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on May 15, 2015 with all of his family present. Agustin fought a good fight, kept his faith and is now in company with Christ. Although it is difficult to understand in the moment of grief, he is in a far better place. Agustin is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Elia Guzman Betancourt; five sons, Mario (Nellie) Betancourt, of Laredo, Raul (Lourdes) Betancourt, of San Antonio, Andres G. (Sherry) Betancourt, of Garner, North Carolina, Mike (Gilda) Betancourt, Ernesto (Esmeralda) Betancourt, both of Edinburg; and daughter, Isabel (Albert) Martinez, of San Antonio; 13 grandchildren; and 2 great granddaughters. We wish to extend our gratitude and appreciation to all of the family members and friends that have kept our family in their prayers and in support of his final days and in our time of sorrow. A time of visitation and remembrance will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg, TX, with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
