EDINBURG – Azucena Billman, 73, went home to our Lord Sunday, December 9, 2018, at her daughter’s residence in Edinburg.
Born in Mission, Azucena lived in Edinburg most of her life and was a breast cancer survivor.
She is survived by her loving husband, L. Brantley Billman of Edinburg; two sons who served our country for over 20 years, Santiago (Angelina) Rodriguez, a retired Army Veteran of China Springs, TX, Jose Guadalupe (Patricia) Rodriguez, a retired Air Force Veteran of La Vernia, TX; a daughter, Yolanda Rodriguez (Clyde) Watson of Edinburg; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maria Olivia Garza and Maria Alicia Martinez, both of Mission.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
