Delbert Doyle Birdsong

Delbert Doyle Birdsong, 86, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023, at McAllen Heart Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Doyle William Birdsong and Paula Johanna Stiegemeyer; and a brother, Wayne Edward Birdsong.
Mr. Birdsong is survived by his wife, Anna Maria Birdsong; three children, Doyle Wayne (Odilia) Birdsong, Juan Jose (Gloria) Rodriguez Jr., and John Landry (Patricia) Birdsong; seven grandchildren, Linda Rae (Brian) Evans, Michael Scott Birdsong, Dwayne Edward (Valerie) Birdsong, Brittany (Isaiah) Kenney, Juan Jose Rodriguez III, Christian John Birdsong, and Joshua Edward Birdsong; and five great-grandchildren, Morgan Beach, Brennan Evans, Wyatt Wayne Birdsong, Brock Evans, and Michael Nathaniel Kenney.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
