EDMUNDO BOCANEGRA
SAN JUAN – Edmundo Bocanegra, 92, died peacefully Sunday, April 2, 2017, at his residence in San Juan.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Alicia Bocanegra Sanchez; second wife, Apolonia Bocanegra Vela; a son, Ramiro Bocanegra; two sisters, Estefana Bocanegra and Enriqueta Bocanegra; and a brother, Meliton Bocanegra.
Mr. Bocanegra is survived by five children, Guadalupe (Gilberto) Tanguma of San Juan, Martha Bocanegra, Gloria Bocanegra, both of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Jose (Bertha) Bocanegra of Pharr, Ana (Pablo) Rodriguez of Waseca, Minnesota; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Geronimo Bocanegra of San Antonio.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
