REBECCA V. BORREGO SAN JUAN – Rebecca V. Borrego, 83, died Friday, October 25, 2013, at Las Palmas Healthcare Center in McAllen. Mrs. Borrego was born in Pharr, Texas and had lived in San Juan all of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alberto Borrego, Sr.; two sons, Alberto Borrego, Jr. and Rogelio Borrego, Sr.; and three sisters, Celia, Isidora and Concepcion Mrs. Borrego is survived by three daughters, Juanita B. (Oscar) Lopez, Elma Nora B. (David) Duran and Irma B. (Rene) Ramirez, all of San Juan; a son, Samuel (Janoise) Borrego, of San Juan; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lydia V. Rodriguez, of San Carlos and Altagracia V. Gomez, of Dallas, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
