LEONILA P. CABALLERO
ALAMO – Leonila P. Caballero, 70, entered eternal rest Sunday, August 1, 2010, at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco.
Mrs. Caballero was born in Alamo and had lived there all of her life. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo and was employed by Hidalgo County Head Start Program for over 30 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose G. Caballero, her parents, Florentino and Beatriz Perez, and her in-laws, Guadalupe and Hortencia Caballero
Mrs. Caballero is survived by three children, Anna C. (Stephen) McAndrew, of Helotes, Texas, Ricardo (Isabel) Caballero, of Weslaco, and Carlos Javier “Charlie” Caballero, of Alamo; four grandchildren, Ben, Gabriela and Sophia McAndrew, and Caleb Caballero; a brother, Jose Noe (Alicia) Perez, of Donna; three sisters, Anna Maria (Cosme) Villarreal, Beatriz Rodriguez, and Margarita Perez, all of Alamo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 9 am Thursday, August 5, 2010, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
