ARTEMIO CACERES, JR.
EDINBURG - Artemio Caceres Jr., 63, died Friday, November 4, 2011, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Mr. Caceres was born in McAllen and had lived in Edinburg for 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam Era.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Artemio and Maria Alicia Caceres.
Mr. Caceres is survived by his wife, Melba G. Caceres, of Edinburg; six children, Maurice K. Caceres, Rebeka M. (Reynaldo) Moreno, both of Edinburg, Alyxandre J. Caceres, of Dallas, Texas, Alma L. Caceres, Alicia L. Caceres, Artemio Caceres III, all of Lansing, Michigan; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and eight siblings, Alicia Diaz, of Fontana, California, Roberto Caceres, of Freeport, Texas, Noel F. Caceres, Carlos Caceres, both of Alamo, Roel Caceres, Clara Caceres-Contreras, both of McAllen, Mayo Caceres, of San Antonio, Texas, and Consuelo Elizondo, of San Benito.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, November 6, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at, 2 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Military honors will be conducted by Sgt. Benito Alaniz VFW Post 7473 of Elsa.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
